Features of the Airwell Oil & Gas Pump:
Fully De-deliquefy Low Flow Wells
Even though Airwell Pumping Systems are capable of higher flows, they have traditionally received most acclaim for their ability to pump wells with low flow rates. An Airwell Pumping System will optimize the well production by automatically adjusting its flow to match the production of the well, even down to zero flow rate. There is little risk of costly pumping downtime from damaged pump equipment in low flow pumping situations.
Centralised Power Supply Requirements For Multiple Pump Sites
With an Airwell Pumping System it is only necessary to have a power source available at one central location. From this point the energy (compressed air) is directed to the various wells using a high pressure air hose. A well location could be up to 2 miles (3.2 kilometres) from the power source. This means that every pump has a 24/7 power supply. This is especially important when optimizing low production wells.
High "Down Well" Reliability
An Airwell Pumping System has minimal moving parts and only quality materials have been used in their manufacture. This makes the patented Aiwell Oil & Gas pumps very reliable and reduces the pumping down time experienced by other sytems in the event of equipment breakdown. Much of the maintenance process is completed at surface level. This means that maintenance can be done efficiently and with less intereference to the well's productivity.
Production Tubing
The standard pump unit can be run in on Airwell’s ¾” API production pipe or on a coiled tubing umbilical.
Both options provide speed and convenience of installation with the coiled tubing umbilical option allowing the pumping unit to be installed and retrieved on a live well.
No Gas locking
Due to the nature of the Airwell Pump it is impossible for the unit to gas lock when the intake is set below the lowest perforation.
Silt Handling
One of the main features exhibited by the entire range of Airwell pumps for the last 25 years has been their ability to pump silts and other fines and particulates suspended in the fluid, without any effect on the performance and reliability of the pumping unit.
No restriction on the gas supply
When utilising any Airwell system the production gas is produced up the casing or “back side” and therefore the up hole friction of the gas is reduced as much as possible. The gas production from the well can be maintained constantly as there is no need to periodically shut in the well as there might be for Plunger Lift systems etc.
If there is sufficient rat hole available in a well, it is possible to have the production perforations completely de-liquefied and therefore relieving the well of as much back pressure as possible to optimise gas production.
This system will operate independent of bottom hole pressure.
Remote System Monitoring
Airwell can remotely monitor and report on the following data from their Texas office or from their Australian office for a truly 24hr service:
- Gas Production
- Fluid Production
- Casing Pressure
- Standing Fluid Level
- Other telemetry from the site
All of this information can be emailed to a client in a daily or weekly report.
Low Environmental Impact
The use of multiple Airwell pumps from one centrally located air compressor eliminates the need to supply power or run separate petrol engines to each well, as is currently required for existing pump jacks. In addition, an Airwell Pumping System is quieter and more visually appealing as it has no moving parts or petrol motors at the head of the well.
Airwell Oil & Gas are committed to providing long-term customer service and satisfaction by providing an unique and reliable oil and gas pumping system to the Oil and Gas Industry.
